The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offers players a massive world filled with clever environmental puzzles and hidden challenges. Among the most unique obstacles are the paired trials found at the very top of the Dueling Peaks region. The Shee Venath Shrine requires adventurers to look beyond a single room and cooperate with information from a completely separate location.
Finding the Shrine on Dueling Peaks
To begin this puzzle, you must scale the massive mountain split located in the subtropical Necluda province. The Shee Venath Shrine sits near the summit of the northern peak, opposite its sister location across the canyon. Climbing to this elevation demands plenty of stamina or specialized gear to overcome the steep rock faces.
Once you reach the top, the glowing blue structure becomes clearly visible against the mountainous landscape. Activating the terminal allows you to step inside and face a trial known explicitly as the Twin Memories. Preparing yourself beforehand by bringing a camera or a piece of paper will make the upcoming task much easier.
Understanding the Twin Memories Puzzle
Upon entering the trial, you will notice a large grid on the floor containing several glowing blue orbs. The puzzle cannot be solved using logic within this room alone because the answer is stored elsewhere. The initial layout of these orbs represents the exact solution needed for the corresponding shrine on the southern peak.
Before moving any of the spheres, you must carefully document their current grid coordinates. The matching trial, called Shee Vaneer, holds the precise pattern required to unlock the gate in your current room. This interconnected mechanic forces players to treat both mountain summits as two halves of a single challenge.
The Correct Orb Configuration
To open the final gate in Shee Venath, you must place the five orbs into a specific sequence derived from the southern mountain. Looking at the grid from the entrance elevator, the spheres must go into precise columns and rows. Moving from the top row down to the bottom, each orb has one correct socket.
The correct arrangement places the orbs in specific columns from left to right as you look down from the viewing platform. Specifically, the spheres should sit in the second column, fourth column, first column, third column, and fifth column respectively from top to bottom. Once the final sphere drops into place, the heavy iron bars guarding the monk will open automatically.
Locating the Hidden Treasure Chest
Before leaving the area to claim your Spirit Orb, there is a valuable piece of equipment hidden inside the room. Instead of heading straight to the monk, look around the side of the wall near the elevated platform. A small ledge can be reached by utilizing the paraglider from the moving elevator platform.
Riding the lift to its highest point gives you enough altitude to glide safely over to the hidden alcove. Opening the treasure chest rewards you with a powerful weapon or shield to assist on your journey through Hyrule. Collecting this item completes the trial fully, allowing you to exit back into the wilderness.
